TEAM
BRM confirmed today that driver Karl Reindler has accepted an invitation
to test with leading British F3 team Carlin Motorsport in August
this year.
The
announcement comes after Reindler dominated the Fifth round of the
Australian F3 championship at Eastern Creek Raceway last weekend,
scoring two pole positions and running away with both races.
The
young West Australian will be a guest at the Silverstone round of
the British championship, before having a seat fitting at the Carlin
factory. Reindler will then test the teams latest model 04
Dallara at the Pembrey circuit on August 18 19.
Team
BRM Technical director Ian Richards, who has had experience working
with the Carlin outfit, will accompany Reindler to the UK for both
the Silverstone round and the subsequent test.
The
invitation to test with the leading British F3 team came after team
owner Trevor Carlin met Reindler at the Wakefield Park round of
the 2003 Australian Championship. Since then, both teams have been
in regular contact, and Carlin has been following Reindlers
progress with interest.
Reindler
will use the test to evaluate his options for a possible 2004 campaign
on the British series.
I
am really happy to have been given this opportunity to test with
arguably the best team in British Formula 3 racing, he said.
Its going to be a great chance to compare myself with
the top drivers in British F3, and I am really looking forward to
it.
Reindler
leaves for the United Kingdom directly after the Wakefield Park
round of the Australian Championship in early August.
